All workshops are 30 minutes long. Caregivers must accompany their children (they will be participating!), but only children need to be registered. For example, a family of four with two children will need two registrations.
All workshops are pick-your-price, so you select the price that works best for you. Space is limited.
Baby's First Concert

Bring your baby to their first concert led by OSO cellist and KCMS cello Instructor Olivia Walsh. Babies and their caregivers will get to listen to beautiful cello music. There will also be some scarf play as well as some singing. This workshop is recommended for babies ages 0-12 months.
Nursery Land Adventure 2.0

Sing, dance, tap and clap your way through favourite musical nursery rhymes with the Cat and the Fiddle. This fun filled workshop will be led by Vernon Community Music School teacher Ardeth Erikson. It will feature live musicians and is geared for children ages 2-5.
Movement & Rhythm Jamboree

Embark on a magical movement journey exploring and creating a kaleidoscope of sound with VCMS teacher Rachel Wyatt. Through story, song, and a little teamwork, participants will move their bodies to different rhythms and experiment with percussion instruments. This workshop might get loud! Fun for the whole family in this half hour of creative play!
Recommended for: children ages 0 to 7 and their caregivers.
Erikson Family Hootenanny

Come and Experience a foot-stomping, handclapping, singing and dancing music fest! Learn a few steps and plan to move and laugh together. Join VCMS teacher Ardeth Erikson and her musical family as they play dance-worthy melodies and fiddle pieces on mixed strings and accordion.
