VERNON, BC – The Vernon & District Performing Arts Centre is pleased to announce ‘Returns Department’, a unique and hilarious show by The Kif-Kif Sisters from Montreal, on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at 2:00PM, launching the SPOTLIGHT 2024-25 Kids Series.

The Kif-Kif Sisters invite audiences to the Returns Department, where they inspect merchandise returned by disgruntled customers. They discover dysfunctional objects and manufacturing defects on their conveyor belt, while dealing with complaints.

VDPACS’ Artistic Director Erin Kennedy shares, “The Kif Kif sisters’ sweet and silly show will have your kids giggling away.”

Returns Department combines physical theater, circus, robotics, and puppetry, offering humor inspired by Charlie Chaplin and comic strips. The performance takes a playful look behind the scenes of a production line, where defective products become a space for the characters to express creativity, invent, and evolve.

Beginning their Canada wide tour in Vernon, The Kif-Kif Sisters are identical twin sisters from Montreal. The duo’s humour, both tender and intelligent, is liked by children and adults alike. They have performed over 1000 times in 20 countries, performing with the likes of Musée National des Beaux-Arts du Québec and Cirque du Soleil. Their performances encourage children to experiment and explore, while engaging audiences through interactive, intimate shows. Inspired by street performance, Returns Department promises to offer a unique experience for the whole family.

The Vernon & District Performing Arts Centre presents The Kif-Kif Sisters on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at 2:00PM. Tickets are $12 for All Ages. The performance is 55 minutes with no intermission.
